The Benefits Of Dab Digital Audio Broadcast

The benefits of Digital {DAB} are numerous and once you have purchased your DAB Radio you will wonder why you never bought one earlier. Listening to any radio channel on DAB is a joy, and a new listening experience. Remember those dark and not so distant days of radio when you would try in vain to listen to your favourite channel on FM or Medium Wave? Remember how you would constantly move your aerial around in the vain hope of picking up a good reception? Remember how you would listen to your channel one day with a fairly good reception, then the next day you wouldn’t be able to find it at all? For years people fought with their old FM and MW radios. It was a love hate relationship, with the crackle and fizz nearly always in the background when trying to listen to your favourite show. We put up with it for so long because that was the best we had and radio technology had not moved on in any significant way. Granted, radio had come a long way since its invention back in 1895, but for modern-day societies, the reception was a lot of hit and miss. And an end totally to interference, cross channels, and white noise. For avid radio listeners DAB would be the Holy Grail they had been waiting for for a very long time.. When they first arrived on the market Digital Radios were expensive in the extreme. Many people could not afford to buy one, and so people stuck to their tried, tested and unreliable old Analogue Systems. As always with people, when something new arrives, they where suspicious of the new technology at first and the philosophy seemed to be, better the devil they know, then the devil they don’t know. Another barrier to the new technology making inroads into the traditional radio market was, as I have stated, the price of the systems. I well remember seeing DAB Radios being sold for well over 100 Pounds when they first arrived on the market. This was a colossal sum if you wanted to invest in a DAB back then, so people Category:Home › Other • Pomegranates: A newly discovered superfood • Where did the joke why did the chicken cross the road come from and why is it funny? • Can mothers diagnosed with bipolar disorder make good parents? • Spiritual evolution of human consciousness • Tips for getting a college basketball scholarship • Living with Pseudotumor cerebri (PTC) • Caring for the caregiver • Technologys impact on society
